Venetian Harbour
The Venetian Harbour and its lighthouse are the most characteristic traits of Chania. Built by the Venetians in 1320, the port was used for trade. Today it is the cosmopolitan center of the island. The lighthouse and the port in general make a wonderful sight at night.
Elafonissi
Elafonissi is probably one of the most famous beaches of Greece. It is a small island on the edge of a peninsula with pink sand, separated from the mainland by a lagoon with a depth of barely one meter.
Balos
The lagoon of Balos is an exotic beach. It is characterized by the white - pink sand created from the fragments of shells. It has reefs and shallow waters that make it ideal for children. It is accessible by boat daily from Kissamos.
Sfakia
The route to Sfakia is the wildest landscape of Crete, full of deep gorges, mountain peaks that end in the dark blue of the Libyan Sea. Sfakia is one of the southernmost edges of Europe. It is connected by boat to the beaches of Marmara and Loutro.
Falassarna
The beach of Falassarna is one of the most famous beaches of Chania. It was voted in May 2013 as one of the 100 best beaches in the world. Falassarna is famous for its turquoise sea and shiny sand.
Samaria Gorge
The entrance to the Samaria Gorge is located on the plateau of Omalos. The gorge is the longest in Europe with a length of 16 km and has been listed as a Natura reserve since 1962. The descent of the gorge takes 4-5 hours and is allowed from May to September.

How to get here
By Boat
From the port of Piraeus by boat to Souda Port. Distance from Souda Port is at 23,3km via BOAK/E65 in 20-25 minutes by car.
By Plane
By plane from Chania Ioannis Daskalogiannis Airport and at a 35km distance and in about 40 minutes by car via BOAK/E65.
